Getting here…you will need a current US or other country current Passport. Fly into Bogota or Medellin and connect to Manizales or nearby Pereira … or fly direct to Pereira International Airport or Armenia.  Transportation to Manizales can be arranged.

About Manizales…the city has over 400,000 residents plus over 35,000 students attending our 11 universities including our excellent colleges of medicine and law. We are at 2,160 meters above sea level or about 7,000 feet (like Colorado) so its cool, sometimes rainy, lush green and very beautiful. The city footprint is actually quite small and easy to get around and you do not need a car.

Things to Do: Having actually spent a full month in Medellin and in Cartagena in the last few years, I can tell you first hand, there´s A LOT more to do in Manizales and it´s mostly within the city limits or nearby or max a 2 hour drive to Armenia.
